Your carbon-offset money STAYS in Hawaii
Every dollar that our clients spend to carbon offset is redirected by natureOffice back into Hawaii via the Hawaii Legacy Hardwoods organization, a reforestation project on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. What better way to help the environment than to reinvest that expense back into having a direct, immediate, and tangible positive impact on our island state.
Solar PV system reflects Hagadone’s values
In October 2011, Hagadone erected a 433-7-kW solar photovoltaic system, with 1,408 panels spread across 25,000 square feet of existing roof space. Revolusun designed and built this renewable energy system.
We expect this multimillion-dollar PV system will power a quarter of the energy we use at our facility, and save us more than $160,000 in electricity costs in its first year alone. In addition, we also became one of the first commercial installations to take advantage of HECO’s feed-in tariff program. Under this program, any excess energy we produce will be purchased by HECO at a fixed rate for the next 20 years.
