Ed Chung Vice President, Finance & Operations
Edwin Chung joined the Hagadone family of companies in 2007 focusing on the Hawaii Publications Division. In 2012, Ed’s responsibilities expanded to include financial oversight of the Hawaii Printing Division. Prior to joining the Hagadone family, Ed served as the Accounting Manager for Arcadia Retirement Residence and its family of support organizations. His focus was on accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for non-profits.
Ed brings over 16 years of experience in financial management, accounting systems, budget development, organizational strategy, data management, and compliance. His affiliations include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) , Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA), and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Ed graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Business Administration and majored Accounting. Years later, he returned to the University of Hawaii to earn his MBA and was able to graduate with honors. Ed holds a CPA license but is not currently in public practice.
Clint Schroeder President & Chief Operating Officer
Clint was raised in Evanston, Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA in Political Science and the New York Institute of Technology with an Executive MBA. Clint is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds SMEI’s Certified Sales Executive (CSE) and Certified Marketing Executive (CME) distinctions.
Clint Schroeder joined the Hagadone Corporation in early 2010. Prior to becoming President and Chief Operating Officer for the Hagadone Corporations Hawaii Holdings, Clint served as Vice President of Sales/Advertising/Marketing for Gannett Co, Inc. at The Honolulu Advertiser, Hawaii’s largest newspaper.
Clint possesses 20 years of media, publishing, marketing, and commercial printing experience, as well as experience working in the Denver and Chicago metro markets. His experience with franchise protection, associate development, brand management, and market share improvement for his own company, and those of his clients, is expansive.

How you do business in Kalihi is different than Hawaii Kai, than on the North Shore, or on any of the neighbor islands. What I’ve done since I’ve been at Hagadone is remind people of the deep, long, historical roots our company has in the local community and economy, and I’ve seen a tremendous positive response and affirmation that this is what Hawaii’s local companies want: A business solutions provider that views them as a partner to success not a pathway for their own profit,” Schroeder stated.
Additionally, Clint is a recognized global procurement professional with global general business experience and intense experience/emphasis on China, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, and Canada. Clint is called on regularly to provide Master’s-level training/instruction/certification in the US, Vietnam and China.
Clint will be the District Governor for Rotary International’s District 5000 in 2016-17. Clint is heavily involved in giving back to the community of Hawaii and has garnered much local recognition, including being selected as one of the Pacific Business News “40 Under 40” Class of 2011. Clint’s other recognitions include: The National Mental Health Alliance’s Outstanding Business Leader 2013, The SMEI Distinguished Sales and Marketing Awards 2012, The Business Leadership Hawaii Community Spirit Award Winner 2011, Pacific Edge Magazine Finalist Business Executive of the Year 2010, Arbuckle Fellowship SMEI Academy of Achievement 2011 , SMEI Chairman’s Gold Award 2010-2011, SMEI Raymond Bill Award of Excellence 2011,
Clint’s other board service is wide-ranging including Hawaii Theatre, Pacific Air Forces Civilian Advisory Council, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the American Heart Association.
