We actively support our community through both financial and non-financial contributions. Our charitable and non-profit support is aimed at programs and organizations that meet compelling community needs, with an emphasis on those who deliver their message through printed communications. We choose to participate in initiatives in which we can make a meaningful impact.

Criteria for Qualification
We support charitable and non-profit organizations that are established entirely in Hawaii or have strong local affiliation. Initiatives that are sponsored on behalf of a charity or non-profit organization are also eligible. While most requests are certainly worthy, we are only able to support a limited number of the initiatives that meet our predetermined criteria. When evaluating requests, we will consider if the initiative:
- Is aligned with our philosophy
- Meets a compelling need of the local community
- Allows Hagadone Printing Company to make a positive, meaningful contribution
- Can be measured for success
We do not support:
- Organizations that are not recognized charities
(except when that organization is representing a recognized charity)
- Political campaigns and candidates
- Religious organizations
- Individual or for-profit businesses
- Projects taking place outside of Hawaii
- Private foundations
How To Apply
Applications can be submitted on-line (preferred), via email, or by U.S. mail. Requests for the 2009 will be accepted until November 1, 2008.
All requests must include:
- Name, address, telephone number of organization and contact person and title
- The amount requested, and in what form
- Background information on the charity or non-profit organization, who it benefits, and the geographic area it serves
- Description of the program or project, including the community need it fulfills
We thank all organizations for their proposals. Those approved for support will be notified by February 1, 2009. Applications received after November 1, 2008 will not be eligible for 2009.
