The Goss M-600 Web Press is a world-class commercial heat-set web press that will forever change the way Hawaii prints.

The new press blurs the difference between web and sheetfed printing, offering the speed of a Web Press and the quality of a Sheetfed Press.

The Goss M-600 includes the “Autoplate”® fully-automatic plate changer (illustrated below), which allows for ultra-fast makeready times, (just like our sheetfed presses!) and means we’ll be able to get your product into your hands even faster.

The new press includes many new in-line folding configurations, giving you more options without the extra expense of post-press finishing.

“We are very excited about the purchase of this new commercial press,” says Erwin Hudelist, Hagadone Printing Company’s president. Hudelist adds: “Business has been strong this year, and with Hawaii’s economy growing steadily, we find it absolutely necessary to expand our capabilities. Not only will we be able to produce more jobs with a shorter turnaround time but also offer more products with even better quality to the customers. Installing this new equipment makes Hawaii home to one of the world’s fastest high-speed commercial presses. These machines are designed to maximize pressroom productivity while providing unequaled print quality.”

Hudelist added that the company estimates an investment of up to $10 million for 2005. “In addition to the new press we have ordered bindery upgrades, and the latest CTP (computer-to-plate) and mailing equipment. This, along with our state-of-the-art Komori Lithrone offset presses that were installed in 2000, makes our company one of the premium printing facilities in the United States. Thus we would like to bring back the print jobs that are currently being lost to out of state vendors,” concluded Hudelist.
