The Goss M-600 Web Press is a world-class commercial heatset web press that will forever change the way Hawaii prints. The new press blurs the difference between web and sheetfed printing, offering the efficiency of a web press and the quality
of a sheetfed press. The Goss M-600 includes the Autoplate® fully-automatic plate changer, which allows for ultra-fast make-ready times, (just like our sheetfed presses!) and means we’ll be able to get your product into your hands even faster. These machines are designed to maximize pressroom productivity while providing unequaled print quality. The new press includes many new in-line folding configurations, giving you more options without the extra expense of post-press finishing – making our company one of the premier printing facilities in the United States.
Controlled Quality
Total quality control means monitoring the production process every step of the way. Our quality control inspectors and dedicated personnel in press, bindery, mailing and even shipping make sure that your product meets our highest standards. Our presses pass daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections for maintenance, safety and quality of reproduction. Each press is routinely calibrated. For added quality, our digital prepress technology is calibrated to our presses for optimum reproduction.
Publication Printing
We dominate Hawaii’s publication printing market.
Our 5-color heatset web press, the only one of its kind
in Hawaii, is ideal for high volume products such as magazines, calendars, newspaper inserts, and brochures.
The term “web” comes from the massive rolls of paper (“webs”) that travel through the press at blindingly fast speeds. The full-size web makes it possible to print thousands of pages in a fraction of the time of other printing methods, which means we can get the product into your hands faster. The press has a super-heated “oven” that dries the paper after it has been printed. After the ink is dried “in-line,” the web press can then perform other processes such as perforating and folding.
Because these processes are performed immediately after printing, manual post-press processes are
eliminated. This saves you time and money.
Although primarily a publication press, the web press
is capable of producing high-volume commercial
products as well. A variety of paper is available,
including recycled and premium stock.

Eco-friendly Goss M-600 Web Press

Make-readies are faster, resulting in less paper waste. There is near-zero pollution from ink solvents. The dryer has near-zero emissions and uses much less natural gas since it actually re-burns the ink solvents for fuel once the press is running.
Web Printing
We have the only full-size commercial heatset 5 color web press in Hawaii. The web press is suitable for high-volume long runs and has the capacity to produce runs up to 5 colors economically with a tolerable margin of color shift and a low per-unit cost

Binding & Stitching
No one ever accused Hagadone of being spineless. When it comes to binding, the spine is where it all comes together – literally – and we use industry-leading equipment to make sure your paper-bound book, novel or magazine stands the test of quality. With our perfect binding, our Mueller Martini Norm Perfect Binder roughs the edge of a bound book, exposing paper fibers to the gluing process. This is far more effective, resulting in a much stronger bind. After collating and gluing, the face, head and foot are trimmed.
